Perspectives on America from Abroad

As world leaders attempt to teach Dubya the facts of world history (They're not Grecians? What are they then?), the Cheney Administration appears to be playing the taut American psyche like a violin: there WILL be an attack by those Qaeda people, either on an apartment building or an office building or a water supply or the Statue of Liberty or the Brooklyn Bridge (the BROOKLYN BRIDGE??? Wanna buy it?), either nuclear or biochemical, and America is pretty much powerless to prevent it, so vote Republican. It all makes sense, like some assassin running toward Dubya with a bag of pretzels.

Cheney says, "Don't investigate us! Don't investigate us while we're busy doing more of what you want to investigate us for!!" In other words, leave us alone to get on with our blundering on your behalf. Sure, Dick, go ahead.
